ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Brandon Roland and I am a Photographer & Graphic Artist based in Olathe, KS.
I grew up in Kansas City, MO, and have always had an interest in creativity. Growing up as a kid, I had quite a fun and adventurous childhood. My brother and I would spend our days and weekends outside of school riding dirtbikes and building treehouses out in the woods.
My true passion for art began in high school when I thought of taking Digital Art as a class. It was then that I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop. From that point on I was sold as a creative. I spent countless hours making artwork for class projects and just for fun. A little after I graduated from Lee's Summit High school in 2012 I took a break from everything and just wanted to enjoy my time as a young adult. Fast forward to 2014 I got back into designing but instead of normal artwork, I began making designs for dirtbikes which landed me my current job as the Lead Designer at BikeGraphix here in Overland Park, KS. As I began to progress in my design abilities and learned to use more programs such as Adobe Illustrator, I became very efficient in my workflow.
As I came back into the riding scene locally I noticed there weren't many photographers and I was really wanting some current photos to post on my social media accounts. So I decided, Hey I will pick up a camera and learn how to use it so I can get some new content! As time went on I became more and more knowledgeable with camera settings which helped me produce better photos.
After getting more comfortable with the camera I decided I would dab my feet in the portrait and lifestyle photography world and have been really enjoying it! Here we are now and venturing into many genres of photography, the candid moments are the most rewarding.
